Ready to Answer™ · Schools
Meet Alex.
Alex has an interview tomorrow.
Alex has more experience than she realises. The question is whether she will recognise it when the opportunity comes.

Opportunity
Alex has been invited to interview.
Meet Alex
Alex has already done more than she thinks.
At 16, experience doesn't always look like a job title, a qualification or a long résumé.
Helped organise a school fundraiser.
Works a Saturday shift at a local café.
Has played team sport for six years.
Helped a younger student settle into school.
Worked through difficult group assignments.
Experienced success, setbacks and moments where she simply had to work things out.
There's already evidence here. Alex just doesn't necessarily recognise it yet.
The interviewer asks
“Tell me about a time you demonstrated leadership.”
Alex answers
“I don't really have any leadership experience.”
Here's the problem
But Alex does.
The experience is already there. The ability to recognise it and communicate it confidently may not be.
And when an opportunity arrives, students don't always get another chance to find the words.
That's where Ready to Answer™ comes in →Introducing
Ready to
Answer™
Helping students recognise what they bring — and communicate it when it matters.
Ready to Answer™ is a practical interview and employability program designed for students in Years 9–12. It helps young people become better prepared for interviews, applications and future opportunities by building confidence in recognising and communicating the experience they already have.
Students may have more evidence of their capability, character and potential than they realise. They simply need to be ready to communicate it.
Recognise what they already bring.
Help students see the value in experiences gained through school, work, sport, volunteering, family responsibilities and everyday life.
Communicate with greater confidence.
Give students greater confidence when talking about themselves, their experience and the contribution they can make.
Prepare for real opportunities.
Support students as they prepare for job interviews, scholarships, leadership opportunities, further study and their transition beyond school.
Grow through every outcome.
Encourage students to reflect, learn and move forward — understanding that an interview outcome is information, not identity.
The goal isn't to turn students into rehearsed interviewees. It's to help them communicate with greater clarity, confidence and authenticity.
Built for schools →Built for schools
Designed for where students are now — and where they're heading next.
Ready to Answer™ is designed specifically for Years 9–12, with learning that is age-appropriate, practical and directly connected to the opportunities students are preparing for.
Years 9–10
Building confidence early.
For students beginning to explore work, leadership, volunteering and future pathways. The emphasis is on helping them recognise what they already bring and become more confident talking about it.
Years 11–12
Preparing for what comes next.
For students approaching employment, tertiary study, scholarships, apprenticeships, leadership opportunities and transition beyond school, with a stronger focus on real-world interview readiness.
Flexible delivery
Small cohorts
More interaction, discussion and individual coaching, ideal for focused student groups and deeper development.
Larger groups
Seminar-style delivery that allows schools to reach a broader student cohort while keeping the learning practical and engaging.
In-person or online
Delivery can be adapted to school context, timetable, cohort size and location, with half-day, full-day and multi-session options available.
More than a workshop
Learning that can continue after the session.
Ready to Answer™ is supported by purpose-built resources for students, families and schools, helping reinforce the learning beyond the facilitated session without requiring schools to recreate the program internally.

Evidence & evaluation
More than a great day. Evidence of learning.
Ready to Answer™ includes a structured evaluation framework designed to help schools understand what students learned, how their capability developed during the program, and whether they continued to use those skills afterwards.
Rather than relying only on satisfaction feedback, evaluation brings together student reflection, observable practice and feedback from school staff.
01
Before & after
Matched student evaluations help identify changes in students' ability to recognise evidence, interpret opportunities, communicate their contribution and use feedback.
02
Observed in practice
Facilitator observations capture how students apply the learning and develop their responses through practice and feedback.
03
School perspective
Teacher and school-staff feedback considers relevance, accessibility, student development and how well the program fits the school context.
04
Beyond the program
A 6–12 week follow-up explores whether students have used the learning in later opportunities and whether it has continued through conversations with parents, carers or trusted adults.
Developmental, not comparative. Evaluation is designed to understand learning and improve the program — not to rank or grade students.
A clearer picture of what students gained — not simply whether they enjoyed the program.
Ready to Answer™ is not an adult interview program simplified for teenagers. It has been built specifically to make high-quality interview and employability learning accessible to young people without diluting it.
Built from experience
Created from the other side of the interview table.
Ready to Answer™ was created by James Green after decades of interviewing, hiring and leading people across multiple industries.
Across more than 20 years of leadership, James has seen capable people miss opportunities not because they lacked potential, but because they struggled to recognise and communicate the evidence of what they could do.
5,000+
Interviews conducted across a range of industries and roles.
1,000+
People hired throughout James' leadership career.
20+
Years of leadership experience across diverse organisations.
Why Ready to Answer
Potential isn't always the problem.
Interviewers can only respond to what a candidate is able to communicate in the room.
For young people, that creates a particular challenge. They may have already demonstrated resilience, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving and leadership — without ever thinking of those experiences in those terms.
Ready to Answer™ was created to help close that gap earlier.
The aim is not to give students polished scripts or manufactured answers. It is to help them become more confident communicating their own experience, contribution and potential when an opportunity arises.
